Do I have to do all 10 sessions?

Although completing the entire 10 Series as been systemically developed to be the most effective in healing the body as a whole, most people experience a dramatic decrease in their everyday minor aches and pains with just the first session. One could also opt for sessions 1-3, as a mini-series, due to after completing the 3rd session all the superficial fascia has been worked through and allows for an honest evaluation to see if this work is a right fit for you.
Whether you decide to try a few sessions or the entire 10 series, you will leave with a new level of body awareness, efficiency of movement and performance.
What do I wear?
Clients are usually asked to be ready in their underwear, which could be briefs for men, and two piece bathing suit for woman. This allows for a greater assessment of the body and limits the obstruction that clothing may bring throughout the session. If one is more modest,comfortable gym clothes may be worn, such as shorts, and sports bra. Your comfort level is of the upmost importance.
Are there psychological effects from Structural Integration?
Although Structural Integration is essentially for altering the structural component of the body, any physical change to a structure, would indeed affect the person as a whole as well. A shift in this structure could alter the way you relate to the world. Some changes may be less physical but equally as profound - after a session one might have the sense of “resolving an old issue” and could now work with an old fear in a new way. Unlike Massage, Structural Integration focuses on the fascia not on the individual muscles. SI looks at the whole body. It addresses chronic patterns in our movement and posture that contribute to the pain felt in our bodies. SI is interested in resolving long term pain responses. It is the process of integrating the body’s segments as it frees up the adhesions in the fascia that have caused restrictions and pain. Structural Integration helps to provide support and efficient movements as we carry ourselves in life. Massage is a broad term that refers to many styles of bodywork. In general, massage promotes relaxation, detoxifies the body, increases circulation and loosens tight tissue. A deep relaxing Swedish massage helps to melt away the stresses of the day.
